Spring Uniform: Style Arc Vicki Top

Another addition to my spring wardrobe, made specifically to wear with my higher waist culottes cropped pants čÖé

The Style Arc Vicki top is a simple pattern, which worked nicely when made with this grape coloured linen from The Fabric Store that has been maturing in my collection for a few years.

My only gripe with the pattern, which could very likely have been a sewing error, is that the back neck gaped a teeny bit. This may have stretched out after cutting or it could a fitting issue. Either way, there are two small darts at the center back to bring it in. No big deal.

To accentuate the seam lines at the shoulder, I added some flat fold piping. Why not right?

I’m happy with this and hope I can tolerate the linen creases so that it gets enough wear.

  • Beautiful colour on you. I love a fabric that matures in the stash until the perfect pattern comes along.

  • Cocos Loft

Really cute, great color. That linen – just wash it over and over until it gets to the soft, gently rumpled stage! I just prepped some with 4 runs through the washer and dryer, feels great.
